Triple cheese Chicken Tortellini pasta with red sauce

If you haven’t tried this dish yet, you are missing out. This Triple Cheese Chicken Tortellini Casserole has been an easy weeknight dinner that requires no prep work. Definitely a winner for the busy moms.

And If I’m being completely honest with you, I had no idea how this was going to turn out when I made it. This was a “let’s make something out of what’s left before grocery shopping” kind of recipe. But handsome said it was good and gave it the stamp of approval so now I’m here to share the recipe with you.

Ingredients needed for making the Tortellini Casserole

  • 1 bag of the frozen Cheese Tortellini pasta
  • 1 jar of Prego Italian Sausage & Garlic
  • 1 9oz pkg of Cream Cheese
  • 2 cups of frozen cooked grilled chicken breast strips
  • 1 cup of Mozzarella cheese

Before we start let’s preheat our oven to 350⁰ degrees. Spray your 9×13 baking dish with cooking oil. Add in half your pasta sauce to the bottom of the dish.

Next we are going to add in half of the cream cheese, cut into cubes. They don’t have to be perfect, just spread it out in the dish.

Then we will add in our chicken and tortellini pasta. Again, spreading out our chicken throughout the pasta.

Add in rest of the cubed cream cheese and the pasta sauce on top. There’s no need to mix.

Top our dish with mozzarella cheese and wrap the top with tinfoil. Place in the oven for 25 minutes.

And now we have delicious Triple Cheese Chicken Tortellini Pasta to serve to our kiddos and hubby.

Bonus points if you have some garlic toast to serve with it. The whole family will love it and ask for seconds. As always, this is another excellent recipe for Baby Led Weaning. My baby just loved it.

  • 1 bag Frozen Cheese Tortellini pasta
  • 1 jar Prego Italian Sausage and Garlic sauce
  • 1 pkg Cream Cheese

  • 1 cup Mozzarella cheese

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Spray your 9x13in baking dish with cooking oil.
  • Add in half your pasta sauce to the bottom of the dish.
  • Take half of the cream cheese, cut into cubes, and place in dish.
  • Next, add in the chicken and tortellini pasta.
  • Add in remaining cream cheese on top and cover with the rest of the pasta sauce.
  • Top with the mozzarella cheese and cover with tinfoil.
  • Place in the oven for 25 minutes.
  • After the time is up, uncover, and serve.

Notes

This is an excellent dish for baby led weaning. 
Pairs well with garlic toast and a side salad.
