Make your own Garlic Parmesan Croutons at home and save money while enjoying these delicious crunchies.
Hello my fellow foodies, I was in the grocery store and I was gonna get a bag of croutons for my salads this week and as a snack for the kids. Now I do most of my shopping in bulk at Sam’s Club and when I noticed the price for their Croutons, I said I’ll just make some at home instead.
My kids new favorite snack at the moment are these Croutons and they fly through a small bag within a day or two. Which back in the day were served as a snack paired with drinks.
Ingredients needed to make these crunchies are…
- Garlic Parmesan seasoning ( I used Weber brand)
- Minced Garlic
- Olive oil
- Bread or just the crusts ( cut perfectly or torn up)
Gather your bread and either tear it up into little pieces or get fancy and cut them all perfectly. Place in a bowl.
Next add the olive oil, minced garlic and seasoning to the bread pieces. Mix it all up.
Spread the crust onto a sheet pan and place in the oven for about 8 to 10 minutes.
Depending on how you like them, take them out at your desired toastness.
Two ways to cook Garlic Parmesan Croutons
Now I’ve cooked these croutons two different ways. One way is just using your oven and baking them for a bit. Another way, especially if its summer time, is to use your Air Fry. We have a Nuwave oven and it gets used the most during the summer to help with keeping the house cool. If you have a toaster oven that could work too, just adjust your times.
Timing for the Air Fryer is 7 minutes set at 350 degrees for golden brown croutons. I don’t have a toaster oven so you’ll need to test that one out.
How to enjoy Croutons
Simply as a snack on its own works great for my kids. I like to have them in my salad of course. You can also crumble them up and use as bread crumbs for recipes like Meatloaf or as the crust for chicken and tiplia.
