Instant Pot Spaghetti and Meatballs for a quick weeknight dinner.

Spaghetti and Meatballs

Are you wanting to cook a simple classic dinner tonight? This Instant Pot Spaghetti and Meatballs recipe can be cooked all together in one pot!

My kid loves to eat this Instant Pot Spaghetti and Meatballs. If I make it with ground beef and no meatballs, she will not touch it.

Luckily for me cooking this meal in the Instant Pot made it so much easier. Just dump everything in, turn it on, and wait till it’s done. No boiling water, then adding noodles, draining water, adding sauce. Plus, also cooking the meatballs in a different pan.

This meal is all cooked at once. Dump it and leave it alone to do its magic. So freaking simple and quick.

I wish I asked for this kitchen appliance a lot sooner then I did. It has change my cooking life for the better.

Ok, enough of me rambling on about the amazing Instant Pot. Let’s start cooking.

In order to make this Instant Pot Spaghetti and Meatballs recipe, you will need the following:

  • Spaghetti noodles (not cooked)
  • Spaghetti sauce (traditional)
  • Frozen Meatballs (home style)
  • Can of diced tomatoes (seasoned)
  • 3 cups of Water
  • Italian seasoning
  • 2 cans of tomato sauce

This is a very simple recipe. If you want to add more spices go ahead. I just use the Italian spaghetti seasoning mix I get from Sam’s Club and it does the trick.

All you need to do is pour your meatballs into the pot. I’ll normally get the big bag and use half of it, then save the other half for another night. You’ll have one layer of meatballs at the bottom. Try not to stack them.

Next, add your cup of water. Then your noodles. I break mine in half to fit inside the pot and try to lay them going in opposite directions. This will help them not stick to each other.

Your next step is to add your can of diced tomatoes, both cans of sauce, and the rest of your water. Add your seasonings on top. If any of your noodles are poking through the sauce, just push them down. This is a layering recipe, so you do not need to stir anything.

Set your Instant Pot to Pressure cooking mode. Turn the dial time for 7 minutes. Make sure the pressure is set to high and choose a quick release. Press Start and wait.

It’ll take about 10 minutes to come to pressure and temperature.

Once it’s done cooking, you will get something like this. Stir and let the sauce set for a few minutes to thicken up a bit.

If you want to keep it saucey, remove the inner pot from the cooker. This will keep it from cooking more and losing your sauce.

Now its ready to serve and enjoy.

I hope you love this simple  Instant Pot Spaghetti and Meatballs recipe as much as my kiddo does.

Also, if you’re doing the baby led weaning for your kiddo, this is an excellent meal to serve. Just cut up the meatballs and noodles into smaller bite size pieces and serve it with a slim slice of toast.

Make sure to save this recipe for an easy dinner one night. It’s definitely my go to recipe when it’s been a day.
