About
Welcome to Ivy Lillies, a blog about living that mom life.
Here at Ivy Lillies I hope to share my ins and outs of learning to be a mom.
I’m not perfect but I’ve learned some nifty things along the way. Here you’ll find a little bit of everything. From parenting hacks and advice to kid approved recipes.
You’ll also find some Do It Yourself home decor and holiday theme decorations that you can do with the kiddos because in my opinion, that’s also what being a mom is about. Decorating your house to feel like a home so you can make precious memories along the way.
About the Author
Hi, I’m Katie the mind behind Ivy Lillies. I’m just a stay at home mom trying to navigate through the every day tasks of being a mom. I enjoy my kiddos but a few times a week I’m at the gym choking people out in jiu jitsu or beating the mess out of a punching bag in kickboxing. Working out and staying active has helped my mental health so much.
I’m also a gamer mom. I enjoy playing on my Xbox a few times a week. This is something I’ve always like to do since I was little and I’m not going to stop just because I’m a mom now. It’s a great outlet for me but I do have to wait till the kiddos go to bed.
I am a huge fan of everything Harry Potter. I also like my Star Wars, Sailor Moon, and all the Dragon Ball shows. So don’t be surprise when you find something relating to this fan world in a post.
I’ve been with this handsome man for a good eight years. And we are parents to two beautiful girls. A toddler and a newborn. Life has definitely been interesting with two under 3 but that’s what makes life amazing. I still can’t wrap my head around having two kids around but they keep us on our toes.
Thanks to Aaron, I get to stay home with these two girls and catch every moment.
My best friend is always asking me for advice. So I started this blog as a way to help other moms to not only learn simple tricks but also to learn how to approach certain situations.
Being a mom is hard work and everything we do matters. Some days call for a glass of wine and other days we lose our minds and need a shot of whiskey. But in the end our kiddos love us all the same and that’s what really matters.
We hope you stick around and follow us on this crazy adventure we call life.
