Lifes little Moments
Chapter 1
Everything changes when you have a second kid. Having another doesn’t just effect you, but also your first child and hubby.
As I sit here feeding my newborn to sleep, my daughter did something different in her bedtime routine. Usually it’s the same request to delay bedtime, “read one more book” or ” juice please”.
But tonight instead of those she said ” Feed baby first mommy” and she lifted her shirt up and place her baby on her chest. Then she took baby off her chest and said “burp baby”. It took me by surprise and my heart melted.
When I attempted to feed her when she was a baby I just didn’t feel comfortable at all. Maybe it was because it was my first time. Who knows.
But this time around I thought breastfeeding her baby sister would be a bit awkward with her watching me. Pulling my boob out and letting her sister “eat”.
But in all reality it felt as normal as can be. I felt more comfortable having my toddler watch me feed her newborn sister then trying to find a swimsuit that was baby proof from tiny hands.
Although it seems my journey of breastfeeding is coming to an end after only two months, I will cherish this moment for ever. Being a mom isn’t easy, but moments like this makes it all worth it.
