Have you walked down the grocery aisle and saw a can of Corned Beef Hash on the shelf and wonder how to cook it? Here I’ll share you my handsomes amazing recipe for making a can of Corned Beef Hash taste yummy.

Before you go saying eww, let me say that I was also like that as well. Seeing the hash come out of the can reminded me of dog food. And to be completely honest it just looked gross. But since Aaron decided to start buying this, he has perfected the canned hash.

Yes, supposedly you can eat the beef hash right out of the can. But like I said, eww.

It was solely Aaron who decided to buy it to eat with our breakfast. Since then he gets it every weekend so we can enjoy it for breakfast.

I decided to share this recipe with yall because for one Aaron cooked it, and two because he can always make something taste amazing.

You’ll need the following Ingredients:

  • Corned Beef Hash
  • Minced Garlic
  • Chopped Onion
  • Worcherstire Sauce
  • Picante sauce
  • Salt and pepper
  • Paprika
  • Oregano
  • Thyme
  • Sugar
  • Butter
  • Beer

This is an Aaron special and with that being said he almost always use beer in his recipes. In this dish, he used Coors lite. We also always use our cast iron skillets for basically cooking everything. They are so easy to clean and your dish can truly become a one pan meal by using your cast iron skillet for the stove top and oven cooking. You will want to get one after this recipe.

How to cook Corned Beef Hash

Adding butter, onion, and garlic

Start with adding your butter, coating the pan and melting. Add the dried onion, garlic, and a little bit of beer to the skillet to rehydrate the dried onion.

You can use regular onion, 1/2 cup, chopped and minced. Sometimes dried is all we have.

Next you will add your Worcherstire sauce. Let it come to a boil. Stirring often.

Now we are going to add in the Corned Beef Hash to the mixture. Mix it into the veggies.

Add in your final ingredients, mix, and let it cook on low for 5 minutes. Stirring occasionally. The mixture will thicken up while simmering.

After the 5 minutes, we are going to transfer our dish to the oven. Place it into a 400 degree oven for 40 minutes, uncovered. This will give it some crisp.

After the 40 minutes is up, its good and ready to serve.

What to eat with Corned Beef Hash?

There are a number of ways to eat Corned Beef Hash.

  • You can eat it by itself.
  • Mix it into scramble eggs and cheese. Yum.
  • Add that same mixture above into a tortilla and wrap it up into a burrito. Double yum.
  • Have it on an egg sandwich with the yolk running out. Delicious
  • Do the same thing right above but add jelly to the toast, then the Hash, then the sunny side up egg, topped off with cheese, more Hash and the other side of the jelly toast. Tripe deliciousness in your tummy.
